Balcony No. 1

Walking around in Wiesbaden's different neighbourhoods I saw this little balcony on an (what I think is an) art deco house (correct me if I'm wrong here!). Especially its glass roof reminded me of these little asian paper umbrellas, so I had to take a picture to show it to you.

this is an interesting design, a little bit of this and that...but it's so small...

You guys are right, it's quite small. I guess you can fit on chair and maybe a tiny table in there but that'll be it...

bob - I see you think very practical ;) but you're right, it's easier to clean this way :).

Thanks you all!!

Really interesting design! Did they ad the "umbrella" later or do you think it has already been there when the house was built?

I love the shape of this building. Like to see the different architectures, everywhere.

grain of sand - glad you agree. The "umbrella look" makes it look really neat in my eyes...

philipp - I don't know but if they've added it later, they did a great job!

Thank you for you comments, micki, wolf, luminlight!!!

jill - I'll show you more architecture styles here. Especially the balconies :) (I'm a big fan of them as you can see).

I love this building, it looks like the front of a ship in some ways.

Very Unusual Architecture. The umbrella roof and the awning to the right are possibly add-ons?

At first it looked a little like the art deco style homes in Miami. A little stucco and pastel colors it would be close. This building has more design and features not seen on homes in Miami.

Thank you for the comments on my blog. Encouraging words makes everyone's life a better place. I'll be back. Germany holds a special place in my heart and soul.
