Lunch at the Luisenplatz
The weather has been really nice over the last few days - a bit chilly but the sun was out. So it was perfect to have lunch or just a coffee outside, like here at the Luisenplatz with the Luisenkirche in the background. The only challenge was, not to get everything blown away by the wind :). Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos before we started to eat - the food looked and, more important, tasted really good! - but I'm sure that was not the last time, I've been there...

I bet that place is beautiful in the summer when the trees are all green!
Looks as if Spring has arrived!
Nicola,
Looks like a great place to sit and enjoy some lunch. Spring is such a beautiful time of the year.
I love the shape of that building - wonder what the inside is like.
Regards,
Mark
ah..i like the mood :)
wat a laid back lunch plus hangout place.would feel good and relaxed to sit there with friends I bet.
What a fabulous and fascinating place to eat! Thank for sharing.
What's that in the tip of the branches?
Good place to restore power, before another shot.;)
I bet in the summer this is a great place to people watch.

i like this kind of photo, and the lines of trees seem to be endless...and very naked!
sam - yes, that's gonna be beautiful, especially when the trees can give shade so the sun doesn't get too hot. But that'll be a while until then.
vancouver dp - yeah! we're getting there.
ggraph - what building do you mean? On this photo or the one from yesterday?
fotoaddict - yes, I agree.
backpack_everyday - thanks for visiting and commenting! Yes, it's a nice place to hang out with friends! If you get a space...
fraser - to me right now nearly every place where I can sit outside looks great. Just being able to do it again without being completely frozen afterwards is perfect!
nuno - That's what they do with the trees each year. They cut off the smaler branches in winter so that in Spring the new ones come out there again. It's a special technique and I'm sure there's a name for it which I unfortunately don't know...
lorethian - oh yes, it is already ;).
lisi - these trees usually take a bit longer to grow new branches and leaves, so yes, they look very nacked at the moment. Give them another month and then they should looks different :).
I suppose this area looks totally different in summer time? - but nevertheless. its still beautiful
The breakfast is very tasty there as well. Anyway, the trees won´t get that much greener, strange kind of trees, look like planted upside down.
Nice feel to this street - love the trees
I can absolutely understand why you like to go there!
your food wasn't blown away, was it? :-D it's been sunny here in Antibes too...but still a bit chilly for summer :-) Nice outing...
weird trees, love the vanishing point perspective. looks a great place to relax, wine and dine.
Sorry, the one from yesterday. I guess your comment section was full or Blogger was acting up. I couldn't leave a comment there.
Have a Happy Easter weekend!
Cheers,
Mark
grain of sand - the restaurant is called "nova lounge". I can really recommend it! I'll go back once the trees have leaves so you can see...
saint - never had breakfast there, but now that you said it, I'll try.
michael, luminlight, santy, grant - yes, these trees really look kind of weird/intersting at the moment...
dutchie - yep, if you happen to come to Wiesbaden, I can recommend it.
maya - well, the salad was a bit in danger but the rest was fine :).
ggraph - I had the same problems over the past few days. Blogger is acting a bit crazy and one really needs quite some patience at points... Yes, that would be interesting to take a look at the building inside if they have some more interesting decorations.
This looks so nice, I would love to have a cup of coffee there :)
Yeap, Spring is here and the weather gets warmer every day, its wonderful :)
dia - whenever you come to visit Germany, let me know and we can have a cup of coffee there :).
