Found this graffiti next to the pedestrian tunnel at the "Platz der deutschen Einheit". Not sure what it is about - maybe another love story?

Graffiti No. 6

This is an archive photo from a graffiti from Wiesbaden's most colorful house. To be honest, I'm not quite sure if it's really a graffiti since it appears more like a painting/mural to me. But I learned in the past that sometimes it's hard to tell... To me it looks like a mixture of a "holy image" and a scene from the tale "The Frog King". What do you think?

Red Bubble Mural

Please note that this is not the official title of this mural, it's just what comes to my mind everytime I see it. In fact, I don't know if it has a title at all. The house and mural can be found close to the city hall in downtown Wiesbaden. I like the style of the mural on the right where it imitates the rest of the facade. What made the artist include these red "bubbles" I have no idea (and to be honest I wish he or she hadn't)...

Luftmessnetz-Box: View No. 2

Another view at the "Luftmessnetz" station I had shown you earlier. Unfortunately, I couldn't find out neither the name of the artist nor the story behind the artwork yet. I'll keep me eyes open, though.

Fresh air in Wiesbaden

One of the responsibilities of the Hessian State Office for Environment and Geology is to monitor the cleanliness/pollution of the air in the cities. Therefore they have these stations set up. It's all automated and you can check the values on their website (in German). Breathe some fresh air...

Graffiti No. 4

Another graffiti right next to "Wiesbaden's most colorful house". I'm not sure what it's supposed to display... Reminds me of machines fighting against each other maybe?

Graffiti No. 3

A graffiti I found next to a playground. Only thing I found missing on this world map is the tip of the "boot" of South-Italy and a few islands got left out but besides that it seems to be alright.

This weekend I can join Sebastian from Trier DP in his "Graffiti Sunday". This one is right next to "Wiesbaden's most colorful house". It's amazing to me how much painting-like this looks. I didn't know that you can work this detailed with an airbrush.

Graffiti No. 1

This is one of the graffitis from Wiesbaden's most colorful house I posted on Monday. An everyday story: in the center is the beautiful woman, highly desired by the two men around her but she is reaching out to the third (maybe unreachable) guy... I'm just making this up, but this is how it could be, don't you agree?

I actually wanted to post this tomorrow to join Trier Daily Photo in his "Graffiti Sundays" but then we, as in City Daily Photo Bloggers, decided on a theme for tomorrow - we're all gonna post a Spring photo tomorrow! Still have to decide on one...

Graffiti House

I'm quite sure that this must be the most colorful house in Wiesbaden. It has been sprayed all over with graffitis as an initiative for a more colorful world (www.aktionfarbenfroh.de). On the website it also says that they wanted to give sprayers the possibility to display their art without getting into trouble. There are some very nice details which I'm going to show you over the next few weeks as well.

P.S. For once I was glad that the trees don't have leaves yet. Otherwise it would have been hard to see... Well, everything has advantages and disadvantages!

P.P.S. I've just noticed that the playground I posted on Tuesday was also "sprayed" by Aktion Farbenfroh.

Playground

A while ago a group of people came together to make this downtown playground a bit more interesting, friendly and cleaner for kids. And I like the result! Especially the walls that used to be grey or sprayed with some graffitis got a lot nicer with these colorful ones. Btw, "Spielen" means play. Sorry, kids are either in kindergarten or school...
