Landeshaus

The building called Landeshaus in Wiesbaden is from 1907. It hosts the Ministry of Economics, Transportation, and Development of the state Hesse (Hessisches Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Verkehr und Landesentwicklung).

It's built with the typical kind of sandstone you've seen in some of my other photos already. I like how you can see the texture of the stone in these columns.

Nice columns. I wonder if I can get away with something similar when I build my dream castle home. =)

Nice shot. I've never seen anything like that before. Much more interesting and better looking than plain ones.

I love the colors in this photo - the stone looks almost soft, doesn't it?

natalie - That will turn out to be a large dream castle then ;).

dutchie - yes, the texture gives it a marble-like look.

sam - agree with you, it does look softer than other stones.

Thank you all for your nice comments!
