Doors No. 5

Today, I'm showing you some red doors from my "doors collection". The one on the left is my favorite of the two - if you look at the larger version (by clicking on the image), you'll see that there is a bird right on top of the door. Also the glass work must be great to look at from the inside (didn't get a chance though).

I remember taking many shots of wonderful doors on my only trip to Paris, then getting home to find out our camera was broken, so no pictures. So, it's wonderful to see these magnificent doors you've captured. Thank you for posting the series of German doors! Here in Seattle there is a trend to paint front doors of standard houses bright colors. Ours is purple, our neighbors have yellow and red--but not ornate like these--just plain. Great shots!

love them, love them love them! there's just something sensuous and mysterious about red doors. and usually the owners are creative people (or just very good at decorating)
